Our Group

We are a group of (young) researchers passionate about investigating security and privacy issues related to modern information systems. The SyPy Security and Privacy Research Group was founded (in 2020) and is led by Prof. Ankit Gangwal. The group is mostly based at IIIT Hyderabad, located at the heart of India's next Silicon Valley.

• July 2025: Our paper "CSUM-G: Group Software Updates for CubeSat Clusters" accepted at IEEE LCN '25.
• June 2025: Our paper "KeTS: Kernel-based Trust Segmentation against Model Poisoning Attacks" accepted at ESORICS '25.
• April 2025: 2 poster papers "Disappearing Ink: How Partial Model Extraction Erases Watermarks" and "Investigating Transferability of Adversarial Examples in Model Merging" accepted at ACM ASIACCS '25.
• January 2025: SyPy Security and Privacy Research Group's website is live.
